Cindy Taylor

Cindy-circle.pngCindy has a distinctive blend of expertise and ingenuity surrounding business systems, that spans the scope of both the administrative and online systems sectors. For over 25 years she has augmented productivity by designing tools such as websites, tracking systems, training systems, and planning calendars and then pulling them all together by documenting the procedures for the systems she has created.

Cindy began as an accounting clerk for the BLM and as a bookkeeper for small restaurants, and she saw the need for software programs that were not yet created. Together with her husband and a young programmer, the three of them launched a company offering one of the first touchscreen point of sale systems for restaurants and hotels, and through that company she learned all about computer hardware, back-end programming, maintenance and training. In 2004 she moved to the Pacific Northwest and was the Administrator for the Oregon Republican Party for many years, but the self-employment bug bit again, and in 2007 she struck out on her own, enjoying the freedom, versatility and flexibility of being her own boss.

During the 2013-14 academic year, Cindy first began working for AISAP as a part-time virtual assistant, and there was instantly a connection. The next academic year Cindy worked for AISAP exclusively and came on board as an independent contractor. In the intervening years she became the Systems and Certification Manager—helping members by providing the systems to deliver their membership benefits, and becoming a certification expert.

When not helping AISAP members, Cindy is the proud wife of one, and the happy mother of seven children who are all grown and out of the house now. Cindy and her husband live in the Pacific Northwest with their cat, Loki, the goddess of mischief. As typical Pacific Northwesterners they enjoy plaid flannel, microbrews, gourmet coffee, and a different umbrella for every kind of rainy day. In her free time, Cindy is a gamer geek, a Lord of the Rings fan, a sci-fi/fantasy movie aficionado and a citizen of the Marvel Universe.
