Joy's Bio: Joy has worked in field of technology for over 15 years with a focus on databases and ensuring data accuracy. She spent the past 10 years in the roles of Technology Manager and Database Manager in independent schools prior to joining NAIS a year ago. Joy is passionate about education and dedicated to helping the independent school community. On the DASL (Data and Analysis for School Leadership) team at NAIS, she brings her skills and expertise to leading the design and development of data collection efforts across the independent school sector. Joy also has her own band that performs both original and cover Americana music in the DC Metro Area.

Alisa Evans' Bio: Alisa Evans is the director of business development for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and for School and Student Services (SSS By NAIS).  Prior to joining NAIS, Evans spent ten years as a regional director and then assistant vice president of market development for a $70 million student loan program that serves the private primary and secondary school market.  Evans, also a former small business owner, published a memoir about the death of a small business titled, Rolling In Dough, Or So I Thought, The Death Of A Small Business.  She lives in Redlands, CA with her husband and 4 and 2 year old son and daughter, who both attend an independent school locally.


Description:

Do you know how much a full pay family needs to earn in order to be full pay at your school?  During this session, we’ll walk you through how to create your affordability range. From there we’ll explore NAIS’s Demographic Center and demonstrate what you can do with your affordability range information. Lastly, we’ll explore NAIS’s DASL tool and show you how to create benchmarking groups to look at your school’s data compared to your peer schools.
