A Leadership Conversation: The Admission Link to Character in Schools

When:  Nov 2, 2017 from 09:00 AM to 03:15 PM (ET)

How Character & Non-Cognitive Traits Are Becoming More Formal Cornerstones in Our Schools

And How This Movement Will Make Our Schools More Relevant Into the Future.

Mark your calendars and register to join us on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford, CT on November 2nd, 2017 for a leadership conversation around a topic critical to schools.  Space is limited, so please register now.

AISAP will facilitate this one-day (9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.) leadership event at Choate Rosemary Hall centered on character assessment in admission and beyond, its impact on schools, and its relationship to the key role that Admission and Enrollment Management professionals serve in shaping school culture and sustaining the school's mission.

Facilitated and led by David Holmes, Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Character Institute, and Ray Diffley, Director of  Center for Admission and Enrollment Management Leadership, participants will join other educators and assessment organization experts with a mutual interest in learning about and elevating non-cognitive, character-related traits in the admissions process and schools.

The goal of this event is to allow Admission Professionals & school leaders the opportunity to:

  • Understand the context of this work and allow participants to ask and understand the "why," in relation to this thinking at their school.
  • Learn the overarching research and offerings on Character Assessment in Admission from assessment experts
  • Consider how their school might implement assessment focused on Character into their process to ensure mission appropriate and successful students at their schools.
  • Engage with colleagues from key angles:  PK-12 admission, secondary school, college counseling, college admission & other areas of school leadership and industry experts.
