    Hello,
I would appreciate you passing this on to those in your school who do financial aid (if it is not you :-)).  I am looking for examples of language used in notifying financial aid applicants that the family does not qualify for aid.

    Thanks in advance.

    Scott

Hi Scott - I pasted our do not qualify letter below - hope it's helpful! (We call financial aid "adjustable tuition".)

    Best,
    Yvette

    Dear <<P1_salutation_final>>,

After careful consideration of your Adjustable Tuition request we regret that your family is ineligible for a tuition discount for the 2018-2019 school year. We assure you that we reviewed all of your family's specific variables, both quantitative and qualitative, while maintaining a consistent and equitable policy of distributing available adjustable tuition funds. We sincerely hope you will still decide to be a part of our school community despite this news concerning tuition support.

Any appeals of decisions must be made in writing and must be accompanied by documents or information that has not already been reviewed by the Adjustable Tuition Committee. Appeals can be sent to the Committee in care of Kim Plough, Director of Finance, at kplough@sffriendsschool.org. As always with matters involving an adjustable tuition evaluation, all follow-up inquiries will be treated with the utmost confidence.

    Sincerely,

    SFFS Adjustable Tuition Committee
