DEI Lecture Series
DEI Lecture Series
Posted 06-26-2019 15:05
This fall, I'm hoping to put together a proposal to begin a DEI-focused lecture series, hopefully, in conjunction with some of Hackley's neighboring independent school communities in the Westchester County, NY area. I'd appreciate any information this group can provide about their own institution's lecture series program. If there is a person at your institution who is in charge of this program, please share their contact info and I will reach out to them. Some of the questions on my mind include best practices in regards to securing funding, thoughts on how speakers are selected (for example, is there a committee that makes these decisions?), frequency of the lectures, etc. If you are a school that plans these lectures with a peer school, I'd like to learn more about the benefits and challenges of collaborating. Lastly, if your school is in the Westchester area and would like to be a part of this, please let me know! You can reach me at
Thank you all for any information you can send my way. I wish you a peaceful and restorative summer season!
