2024 MASTER CLASS: Primer to Strategic Enrollment Plan-Get Ready to Get Ready

This course is designed for admission and enrollment professionals preparing to develop a Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP). You will gain a foundational understanding of a SEP's key elements and aspects and learn the necessary steps before beginning the planning process. You will also be equipped with the knowledge to assess their institution’s current state, identify critical data, and lay the groundwork for an effective and sustainable strategic enrollment initiative

Session I - Tuesday, July 16 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm ET
Understand the Importance and Identify Key Elements of a Strategic Enrollment Plan
We’ll introduce the concept of Strategic Enrollment Planning (SEP) and highlight its importance. You will learn about SEP's benefits and how it supports institutional growth and sustainability. You will also explore the key elements of a SEP, including goal setting, data analysis, marketing strategies, and retention plans. The lesson will also cover the roles and responsibilities of the planning team.

Session II - Tuesday, July 23 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm ET
Assess Institutional Readiness and Gather and Analyze Critical Data
We will focus on assessing the institution’s current state and readiness for developing a SEP. You will learn to perform a SWOT analysis to identify enrollment strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. You will also delve into the data-gathering process, identifying key metrics and sources of information. The lesson will cover basic data analysis techniques to inform strategic decisions as well.

Session III - Tuesday, July 30 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm ET
Engage Stakeholders and Build a Collaborative Planning Team and Set the Foundation for Developing a SEP
The final lesson focuses on setting the foundation for the SEP. You will learn to define specific goals and objectives and develop a preliminary timeline for the planning process. We’ll also emphasize the importance of stakeholder engagement and collaboration. You will learn methods for involving various stakeholders and building a cohesive planning team.
