Engagement Session | Alleviating Bias in the Admission and Enrollment Process
When:
Dec 15, 2020 from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM (ET)
Live Event: December 15, 2020
Registration Deadline: November 24, 2020
Admission and Enrollment Professionals create the conditions for applicants to demonstrate their merit of inclusion into the school environment. But what are theses conditions and are they understood and agreed to by all? Each application should be seen as a part of the whole while building a diverse cohort each year. In this session, we will discuss best practices for removing implicit bias in the admissions and financial aid awarding processes. We will:
Learn, share and discuss biases and barriers that impact admission and enrollment
Identify common concerns and identify ways to address them
Surface and recommend organizational values that can support the commitment of admission and enrollment professionals to facilitating equitable and bias free admissions processes
