Scott Schamberger

Scott Schamberger serves as head of school at Indian Springs School, a coed day and boarding school in Birmingham, Alabama.  Prior to beginning as the head of school at Indian Springs in July 2020, Scott served as assistant headmaster at Woodberry Forest School.  At Woodberry, Scott was the school’s chief enrollment management officer and lead their college counseling program. Scott is also the current board president at the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP).  Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in Emory University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission where he was an Assistant Dean and eventually Associate Dean of Admission and then served as Director of Institutional Advancement at Randolph School in Huntsville, Alabama.  At Randolph, he managed the school’s admission, marketing, communications, alumni relations, and fundraising operations. Scott received a BS in Biology from Emory University, a Master of Education from the University of Georgia and has completed his coursework for a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies: Social Foundations of Education from Georgia State University. Scott and his family live on campus and enjoy being part of a boarding school community.
