AISAP Listserv

Best practices. Real-life solutions. Practical information. Lessons learned. Enhancing the Professionals who lead.

The place to talk to your colleagues. One of our most popular membership benefits! Given to all for a limited time!

Find the solutions to the challenges on your desk today the easy way – ask your fellow independent school admission officers! The AISAPListserve gives you easy access to the wealth of information shared in free and open discussions. Admission officers talk about day-to-day issues and emerging trends every day on the listserv.

Our listserv is an email discussion group. Once you set up your subscription, all you do is send an email and when people reply, their responses come directly to you. It's that simple. Join the AISAP Listserv today!

LISTSERVE HOW-TO

Enrollment Managers with e-mail and Web access can participate in the AISAP Listserv. Below you will see some advice and etiquette on posting a message to a list. You can perform many of these functions by using e-mail commands.

SENDING A MESSAGE

Here are some other important hints and etiquette:

REPLY TO A MESSAGE

  • To reply to messages you receive from the list with content that will be viewed by all, be sure that the send-to address appears as the listname with aisap@list.nboa.net

  • Avoid resending the entire message to which you are replying by cutting and pasting the relevant parts into your response. Please do not resend a digest back to the e-mail list.

  • Using the reply button in your e-mail application will automatically send your response to the entire list. To reply individually to a member of the list, forward the e-mail and copy and paste his or her e-mail address into the "To" line. It is the advice of AISAP and many of its’ users that only content based questions and responses are sent to all. Requests and statements of interest should be forwarded to the Executive Director at info@aisap.org or janice@aisap.org. As well this Listserve must be used for the sole purpose of “advancing the professionals who lead” not for social reasons.

  •  Identify yourself with a signature tag in all messages. Include your name, school/association/corporation, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

This is a valuable service that needs to be treated with consideration for all involved. Our steps in creating this Listserve, launching this Listserve and guiding this Listserve are in line with as well as with support from NBOA and NAIS.
