AISAP CONSULTANCY SERVICES

The mission of the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP) is to support and advance those involved in admission and enrollment management in their responsibilities for advancing institutional mission and financial sustainability.

Responsibilities of admission professionals have grown exponentially over time. Given the evolving responsibilities, admission professionals can benefit from a partnership with peers and trusted admission and enrollment professionals whose perspective comes from serving a global association.

As each school’s mission and vision is different than the next, AISAP recognizes the importance of a consultancy process that is personalized and individualized. The AISAP Consultancy Service is tailored to a school’s particular circumstances and the strengths and individuality of the professionals who serve each particular school.

While we offer the service at any time of year, targeted times for a consultancy partnership are in preparation for board meetings, during periods of market demographic changes (growing or shrinking), during leadership or staffing transitions e.g., prior to (or just after) a new director coming on board or a new head of school, or when a team has been in place without change for a period of time and wants a partner to help it strategize and grow.

The consultancy visit is led by two experienced admission and enrollment management professionals: Ray Diffley and Debby Murphy. This core team is often joined, based on the needs and desire of the partner school, by a third professional from the AISAP Board.

What you can expect
  • The consultancy includes pre-visit surveys for key stakeholders at the school and a thorough review of all admission data and materials.
  • The one-and-a-half day onsite visit allows the consultancy team to meet with key constituents: members of the admission office, CFO, Head of School, other senior administrators, board members, current parents (if desired) and key faculty/staff stakeholders in the admission process.
  • We will provide feedback about the structure and efficiency of the admission operations, as well as ideas and recommendations about how to evolve key elements of your enrollment management program e.g. processes, campus visit programs, retention efforts, communications strategy, outreach, marketing and more.
  • We will provide specific recommendations based on an established and pre-approved priority checklist of your Admission and Enrollment Management program.
Deliverables
  • Summary Report (20-25 pages) delivered two weeks after the site visit. This actionable document will offer immediate, mid-term and long-term recommendations, suggestions and ideas customized for your school and office.
  • A professional development roadmap for members of the admission office based on AISAP’s Learning and Development Framework and Professional Competencies to ensure each team member has access to best practice training in key areas.
  • Follow up: We will have a formal post-report follow-up conference call to discuss the report and the next steps to take action.
  • We’ll connect you to other professionals doing industry-leading work in areas where we see your office/school has challenges.
  • Further, at your request, we’ll provide a list of additional resources to use for potential  “deep dives” on issues like demographic analysis, brand development, and marketing plans.
What Sets Consultancy Services Apart
  • We offer a peer-to-peer assessment performed by experienced Admission professionals and practitioners.
  • The team visits your school having studied in advance all reports and marketing material in the context of AISAP’s Learning and Development Framework
  • We’re here to support before and after the partnership, serving admission professionals is what we do, using our network of hundreds of schools and thousands of professionals.
  • Industry leading 2 week turnaround time on delivery of report from the day we leave campus.
  • With a Consultancy Service, AISAP will grant one Certification (CAEP) to an admission professional on your staff. Content can be used office-wide as professional development while one professional will gain the CAEP designation.
  • Affordability: The cost is reflective of the peer-to-peer philosophy of the program. Your school pays only for the program fee plus reasonable expenses for each consultancy.
