Janice Gregerson

Janice Gregerson is a Partner with Venable LLP’s Independent School Law practice, representing independent schools of different sizes, missions, cultures, and philosophies nationwide. She works collaboratively with her independent school clients, ensuring she is intimately familiar with each organization's operations, mission, and environment. Drawing upon her previous employment litigation experience in both the private and federal sectors, Janice provides practical solutions for both the routine and complex issues that independent schools face.  Understanding that independent schools interact with many constituents - including students, parents, employees, trustees, donors, alumni, and vendors - Janice helps schools both establish policies and procedures that promote positive working and learning environments, while limiting potential liability exposure, and also assists schools in working to respond to or resolve conflicts when they do arise.  Janice also regularly speaks at national and regional conferences for independent schools, and provides schools with in-school, in-person training various topics.

Janice holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from George Mason School of Law.  She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and two children.
