Continuing Education Credits (CECs)

Your Professional Development

Whether you are just beginning your journey or are a master in the profession, your work to educate, elevate, and empower yourself is critical to your—and the profession’s—immediate and long-term success.

AISAP is dedicated to your development as an Admission and Enrollment Management Professional. Therefore, education and training is the cornerstone of all we do. And, as with any cornerstone, it sets the foundation of a structure. In 2018, we introduced that structure in our Learning and Development Professional Framework^©.

What is a CEC?

With you in mind, many of our education opportunities offer a Continuing Education Credit (CEC)—one unit of credit that equals one hour of participation in CEC-qualifying AISAP education offering. An AISAP CEC is a professional development experience that adheres to the constructs of the AISAP L&D Framework and, by offering CECs, AISAP helps participating individuals track their professional development progress.

Why CECs Matter

AISAP established CECs in response to Admission and Enrollment Management Professionals’ requests for a more precise system to identify courses that move and elevate the profession. AISAP continues to serve as a resource and a repository of resources for the profession, which includes our CAEP^© certificate and our AEMP Credential.

CEC Standards

While AISAP acknowledges that learning opportunities are available and essential from many resources, the specific aspects of AISAP’s program were designed with full consideration of National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs, and were modeled after similar programs offered by other NCCA-accredited credentialing programs.

In essence, CECs note the level of our commitment to you as a professional and any participants in the AISAP CEC-Approved Provider Program. AISAP collects and tracks all AISAP-acquired CECs for Admission and Enrollment Management Professionals upon request.
