Dr. Olaf “Ole” Jorgenson has been a school leader and teacher in public, private and international schools since 1987, and currently serves as head of school at Almaden Country Day School (ACDS) in San Jose, CA. Author of books and journal articles across a range of education topics, Ole serves on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) as well as the Advisory Board for the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership, Teachers College, Columbia University. His current efforts beyond his ACDS responsibilities address the impact of academic stress on teenage mental health, and how small and under-resourced schools can combat enrollment decline and promote sustainability. Ole lives with his family in San Jose, CA.
