Advancing Women in Admission and Enrollment Leadership credential program is a cohort-based professional learning experience designed for mid-career women leaders in independent school admission and enrollment. The series responds directly to the professional and personal leadership challenges women frequently encounter in admissions roles, including burnout, perfectionism, delegation hesitancy, and navigating difficult conversations with confidence.
Through a combination of expert-led sessions, facilitated peer dialogue, and structured reflection, participants will strengthen their leadership presence, build sustainable leadership practices, and cultivate a supportive professional network. Two follow-up cohort reunion after the conclusion of the series reinforces learning, accountability, and long-term impact.
This credential program is for:
- Mid-career women admissions professionals emerging, advancing and mastering in their roles.
- Directors, associate directors, and senior admissions staff
- Professionals preparing for broader leadership responsibility within admissions/enrollment management
Note: This opportunity is open to anyone who identifies as a woman in any way that is significant to them, including those who identify as trans, non-binary, gender-nonconforming, or gender-fluid.
Program Format:
- Cohort-based model to foster trust, shared learning, and connection
- Optional cohort reunion (90 minutes) held 3–6 months post-program
- Prework- Registrants will be sent “pre-work” ahead of sessions.
- Five 60-minute virtual sessions delivered over a defined period
- Four interactive, content-based sessions
- One facilitated peer discussion and reflection session

Sessions:
Session 1: Balanced Leadership – Cultivating Boundaries Without Losing Empathy
Participants explore boundaries as a core leadership skill rather than a personal limitation. The session focuses on protecting time and energy while maintaining strong relationships and modeling healthy leadership practices.
Session 2: Permission to Fail – How Courage Creates Breakthroughs
This session addresses perfectionism and fear of failure, examining how risk-taking and experimentation contribute to leadership growth. Participants develop practical strategies for learning from mistakes and moving forward with confidence.
Session 3: From Overwhelmed to Empowered – Mastering the Art of Delegation
Participants examine mindset barriers to delegation and learn tools for delegating effectively. Emphasis is placed on trust-building, accountability, and freeing leaders to focus on strategic priorities.
Session 4: From Conflict to Clarity – Navigating Difficult Conversations
This session equips participants with communication frameworks for handling challenging conversations with colleagues, families, and supervisors. Participants practice approaching conflict with clarity, empathy, and confidence.
Session 5: Facilitated Group Conversation – Reflect & Connect
A guided peer discussion allows participants to reflect on learning, share experiences, and identify practical applications of leadership strategies within their admissions roles.
Upon successful completion of the Advancing Women in Admission & Enrollment Leadership program, participants will earn 6.5 AISAP CEC’s and the AWAEL Fellow credential—Fellow, Advancing Women in Admission & Enrollment Leadership—recognizing their commitment to advancing leadership, impact, and excellence in the field.
