Using Social Media to Amplify Your School’s Story & Increase Enrollment

This webinar will explore the ways in which using social media strategically can increase interest in your school from students and families that feel authentically connected to your story. We will discuss how to involve students, faculty, and other community members and inspire them to become brand ambassadors for your school. We will also share how elevating your social media presence can have a significant impact on the applicant pool helping attract more mission-aligned families. Finally, we will share ideas on how to elevate the collaboration and partnership between the Communications and Enrollment teams at your school. 

Presenter Bios

Kaitlin ReslerKaitlin Resler is the Associate Director of Content Marketing at Emma Willard School, with 15 years of experience in blogging, content creation, and digital marketing. Kaitlin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and minor in Women’s Studies, and a Master of Arts in English with a focus on the poetry of John Keats from the University of Albany. In addition to maintaining and producing written content, photography, and video for Emma Willard School, she is a member of the Experiential Learning department as a project manager for students in the school’s capstone program. Kaitlin is committed to bringing authentic student voices to the forefront of independent school content marketing to better introduce the community to their schools.  

Luke MeyersLuke Meyers has 20 years of experience in the field of communications and marketing, and prior to joining the team at Emma, he led communications efforts at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He began his career in non-profit healthcare communications before spending several years leading market research and strategy for agency clients and then moving on to higher education. Mr. Meyers holds a BA in Communication and Media Studies from SUNY Geneseo and is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society. 

Katie MyerWith nearly 20 years working in independent boarding schools, Katie Myer serves as the Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Emma Willard School. She manages much of the domestic recruitment for the school, is the liaison between admissions and the communications team, and is deeply committed to creating an equitable and accessible admissions process for every student. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Hartwick College, and an M.S. in School Psychology from The College of Saint Rose.

Kristen MariottiKristen Mariotti has spent over two decades in the field of admissions and enrollment management, with the majority of this experience in independent girls schools. Kristen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Southern Connecticut State University, completed a graduate program at Prescott College in Arizona with a focus on teaching and multicultural education, and obtained her certification (CAEP) from the Association of Independent School Admissions Professionals (AISAP) as an enrollment and admissions professional. Kristen has also served as a Global Ambassador for the National Association of Boarding Schools (NAIS), a mentor for the Enrollment Management Association (EMA), a member of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) Advisory Council, and a faculty member and cohort leader for AISAP.
